Ambiguity between I and l

[edit]

A problem with the default font is that 'I' (upper-case i) is identical to 'l' (lower-case L). This can give ambiguity, for example between the Welsh personal name Ilan (Ilan) and the Welsh placename component Llan (Llan). I have tried to clarify this in Eglwysilan. Yes, I view this as a problem too, as the default font lacks serifs. This can create a mess in articles like Illinois or Kim Jong Il. Rreagan007 (talk) 00:29, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Font size

[edit]

A guide to changing font size would be welcome here. For example, when transcribing text, it may be necessary to use capital letters in a smaller font to render the original. - Wwallacee (talk) 09:52, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

iOS and Android

[edit]

Have long since replaced Windows and macOS as the OS most used by readers, and they render fonts quite differently. A discussion for them would be interesting. Dan100 (Talk) 09:16, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Custom Fonts

[edit]

A section briefly mentioning about how to add support for external fonts (article-specific) would be great. Especially would be helpful for beginners to Wiki. GokulNC (talk) 07:42, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
