Error in 2024 Atlantic hurricane season's October 6 to 12 entry
[edit]Hello, I am writing to report a factual inaccuracy in the entry for #22 in the October 6 Top 25 Report.
According to the entry description, Three major hurricanes appeared so far in 2024, Beryl, #19 and #6...
. However, the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season has actually produced four major hurricanes. Kirk attained Category 4 intensity in early October, "in between" Helene and Milton.
Would it please be possible for someone to correct this error? Thank you,
P.S. Apologies if I am not following a proper procedure. This is my first time commenting on the report's talk page.

Top 50
[edit]Has the Top 50 Report started work anywhere in draftspace? 2001:8F8:172B:3EF8:A9AB:3FE4:2787:AD25 (talk) 06:14, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- Given that it is only early November, I doubt it. SSSB (talk) 06:46, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- I've been adding the numbers on my sandbox for a while, but probably won't start the Top 50 proper until December. igordebraga ≠ 15:57, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Is there a process to sign up for writing Top 50 or Top 25 entries? I have been fascinated by the commentary over the years, and I would love to contribute to composing entry descriptions with my own insight. AndrewPeterT (talk) (contribs) 03:54, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

Possible Top 25 Report record
[edit]Hello,
I am unsure if there is any compilation of these data over the years. However, in the latest Top 25 Report (i.e. from November 3 to 9, 2024), 21 of the 25 entries are related to the 2024 United States presidential election.
Has there ever been a week when a single event has held such a monopoly on the Top 25 Report content? The only time I recall that one event dominated the report to a similar extent was 19 of 25 entries on the week of September 11, 2022, during the death and state funeral of Elizabeth II.
Thank you,
