Brian Thompson

[edit]

@Igordebraga: Combining page views should not be reserved exclusively for a page move. This week Brian Thompson was a very specific case of the article being created in the middle of the week and readers getting directed to the actor/disambiguation page. Unsure but perhaps the businessman's article wasn't even created yet for many of these pageviews, so I definitely think we should at least include this in an unranked way. Like have the combined pageviews included as "UR" or "N/A" on the ranking column. The combination of the pageviews is fair imo in this very specific case because of all the page moves. Combined views are supposed to be the same page. This is not the case here, it's two truly separate pages, one of which didn't even exist before the murder. If people go to the wrong page, the views remain in the destination, such as Premier League getting bumps because of cricket fans seeking Indian Premier League. igordebraga 23:44, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I get that, but this seems likes a much more unique case, specifically because of the fact that the article didn't exist till the middle of the week. But it's not a hill I would feel super inclined to die on or anything like that, so that's fine. Soulbust (talk) 00:08, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
