[edit]There's no free image of Kyriakos Pittakis at Commons. Of the images in the article, I think I like this one best, since it shows something actually relevant to Pittakis (much of his restoration work was later replaced), and also shows the Acropolis, but I don't really have a preference ... anyone have other suggestions? @Wehwalt and UndercoverClassicist. - Dank (push to talk) 15:38, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- I think that would be an excellent image for the article: the War of Independence was hugely important in Pittakis' formation, and the siege is itself hugely important in the myth-making around him and his position in the modern discourse. Most of the other good images are in black and white, and I think there's value in colour in this position. UndercoverClassicist T·C 15:41, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- It's very hard to see what this is at thumbnail size. I suspect it might draw some flak come TFA day. Wehwalt (talk) 17:20, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- What do you recommend? I don't want to show any specific structures on the Acropolis, because then a reader would reasonably guess that we're showing a structure that Pittakis had something to do with (but he didn't). But there are other images that would be fine. - Dank (push to talk) 17:44, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Other options: something like this (an object he found), or this (a painting of a temple he worked on, not long after he did so), or this (a photo of one of his (in)famous pinakes)? UndercoverClassicist T·C 18:33, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Of those, I think I like the second one, the Erechtheion. - Dank (push to talk) 18:39, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- I've added it; feel free to revert. - Dank (push to talk) 04:42, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
