I thought the Pangong Lake image was more stunning. =Nichalp «Talk»= July 5, 2005 07:42 (UTC)
- On second thought, I concur (both are at FPC, btw). →Raul654 July 5, 2005 07:52 (UTC)

[edit]The mention of the territorial dispute in the text to occur on the main page reflects on our neutrality very well. But, I'm afraid that it might lead to POV edit wars on the day of featuring. -- Sundar \talk \contribs July 6, 2005 06:55 (UTC)
- It's a valid concern, so I've excised references to it from this write up (which should cut down on edit warring significantly) →Raul654 July 6, 2005 07:04 (UTC)
Objection
[edit]The fact that your original summary mentioned the highest claim suggests that the claim is too prominently mentioned in the article. I suggest the article is kept off the front page until the POV issues are resolved. Susvolans (pigs can fly) 6 July 2005 11:10 (UTC)
- There are no outstanding POV issues on that. It is mentioned correctly in the article. But, due to the nature of the complex issues in Indo-Pakistan relationship, casual visitors to the main page might start vandalising the page. A serious reader can read the detailed article anyway, where the fact regarding the status quo is clearly mentioned. -- Sundar \talk \contribs July 6, 2005 11:15 (UTC)
Image replacement available
[edit]{{editprotected}}
Because these pages are reused at Portal:Featured content, please replace the redlink in this blurb with the free image Image:India 78.40398E 20.74980N.jpg. Thanks. Carcharoth 14:44, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Correction. Geography of India is no longer a featured article, but the image should still be replaced (or the redlink removed) to maintain the appearance of the TFA archives. Carcharoth 14:51, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Cheers. --MZMcBride 15:43, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
