Shortcut
[edit]What happened to the shortcut to welcome templates? I use that quite frequently! LyrlTalk C 16:42, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- At the time of writing, WT:WT is a shortcut to Wikipedia talk:Welcoming committee/Welcome templates. For a long time it used to redirect to Wikipedia:Shortcuts to talk pages (see Special:Diff/27657823 and Special:Permalink/282791804). But in 2019, the target was changed. —andrybak (talk) 22:52, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
Sorting
[edit]I don't know whose decision it was, but the list is partially ordered alphabetically by the shortcuts instead of the pages they lead to, and it's not even a proper sorting in that way, either. It seems to be a mixture of page and shortcut sorting. In any case, I am restoring (if it has ever existed, that is) a full ascending alphabetical order by page. - I have now noticed that the table is automatically sortable. However, this still does not explain the mixed order that existed before. In any case, I have now corrected it; anyone who wishes to see a proper alphabetic order by shortcut can still do so. Waltham, The Duke of 02:08, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes I agree with you that the list items should be stored sorted in page name order. It was confusing that it was not when I inserted some pages some days ago, hard to find where to insert each page name, but I was lazy and didn't fix it then. Thanks Waltham.

- Well, that's one problem solved. Now we just have to add several dozens of missing shortcuts; for some reason, people add their projects' shortcuts to WP:WPR but fail to add their talk pages' shortcuts here. Waltham, The Duke of 23:02, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
