Hello, School and university projects, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like 1.3 Retroactive Interference, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

Wikipedia's policy on no shared accounts

[edit]

Please be aware that according to Wikipedia policy, user accounts may only represent individuals. Sharing an account (that includes the password) with others is prohibited. Please ensure that each individual in the group gets his/her own account, and be aware that shared accounts are supposed to be blocked according to that policy.

Note: I am sending a message to the email address on file for this account and monitoring this page for any new messages. To reply to this message, click the edit link next to the heading above and add your reply below (adding the code ~~~~ immediately after to produce the name and the date), or you can email me. Thank you for your attention. PleaseStand (talk) 00:02, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Psy3330 W10 (talk) 05:40, 25 March 2010 (UTC)I believe you emailed me about this as well, but thank you. I was not aware of the policy. This account has since been restricted to just myself (the TA of the course that was using this wikipedia account and user page as a sandbox for a wikipedia project to improve and expand on neuroscience and memory).[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Please stop uploading files with invalid copyright information and creating inappropriate pages (as noted in the many notices, above). Also, please respond, regarding the above message, about role accounts.

If you do not respond, your account may be blocked. Thank you for your attention. --  Chzz  ►  06:42, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Psy3330 W10 (talk) 05:40, 25 March 2010 (UTC)I hope the copyright information has been resolved at this point. This account is part of a class project to improve wikipedia pages on neuroscience and memory. This page specifically was a sandbox for the class to tweak their wikipedia pages before posted them on live, thus there was some issues with the fair-use images. The account has since been locked to one user (I'm the teaching assistant for the class) and after this point, will no longer be used for contributions.[reply]

Psy3330 W10 (talk) 05:41, 25 March 2010 (UTC) It also seems there was some confusion for some of the groups in using the wikimedia commons. There was a few pictures that were saved from the commons and uploaded again. I apologizes for the confusion.[reply]

Thank you for responding. There are still two pictures that require copyright information; File:Prefrontal_cortex1.png and File:Radial Arm Maze.jpg. Please take a look and see if that can be fixed.
Thank you for ensuring that the account is used by only one person. When you say the account is now "locked", please ensure that you have changed the password, if you think that others may know it. There is no problem at all with working in shared areas, but there is with shared accounts; as long as each individual has their own account, then we certainly welcome any contributions.
For more help, you can either;
  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.

File source problem with File:Memorytypes.gif

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Memorytypes.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:24, 2 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:24, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An award

[edit]
The Psychology Barnstar
This award recognises your, and your co-authors', improvements to articles related to the psychology of memory. MartinPoulter (talk) 23:32, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for working with Wikipedia to improve its psychological articles. Please tell your students that their work is very much appreciated: together you've created a large proportion of Wikipedia's academic content. The intellectual content and sourcing of the articles is of a high standard. What the articles need to progress further is copy editing to make the text more accessible to a non-technical audience, and in some cases they need extended lead sections to draw readers in. Please consider submitting an article to Good Article Review: it would be great to see this material get more formal recognition. You and your students (if they get individual accounts) are welcome to come and join us at Wikiproject Psychology. MartinPoulter (talk) 23:32, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Interferencecorrect.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:12, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of discussion at ANI

[edit]

Informational note: this is to let you know that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Regards, —KuyaBriBriTalk 21:52, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
