Soviet republics in infoboxes

[edit]

Following this recent discussion for Soviet republics in infoboxes, most Russian biographical articles who were born and died in the Soviet Union, have "Russian SFSR" per Template:Infobox person/doc, as well as for Ukrainian people.

For example, many people born in the Soviet Union, including Vladimir Putin, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Alexander Lukashenko, etc. Other people died in the Soviet Union, including Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Lyudmila Pavlichenko, etc. 49.150.12.163 (talk) 04:14, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So what? - Altenmann >talk 04:28, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unlike historical countries, like states of the German Empire, Austria-Hungary and SFR Yugoslavia have subordinate countries. For example, Josip Broz Tito was born in "Kumrovec, Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia, Austria-Hungary," and died in "Ljubljana, SR Slovenia, SFR Yugoslavia" as shown in infobox. 49.150.12.163 (talk) 06:33, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a better title for this article? Ed [talk] [OMT] 17:04, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it should be Russian 2019 fake news laws, as they are commonly called in Russia, e.g., : Путин подписал законы о запрете фейковых новостей. The laws themselves have unusable bureaucratic names. --Altenmann >talk 19:51, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
