Hello, I was just wondering if anybody knew some interesting facts about the machines and aircraft used during the blitz. If you do, please post some information; I will be very grateful and will try to give you help if you ever need it.

Why is it so difficult and round-about to pose a simple question to Wikipedia???? I would like to know more about former Confederate Major Alexander Doran who appears in the article about the Hot Springs, Arkansas shoot-out in March 1899 between the police and the sheriff's deputies over kick-backs from the control of gambling interests in the city. Before being shot himself, Major Doran allegedly shot about ten of his rivals who worked for his major opponent. How many of those rivals were shot by the major himself and what were the circumstances of those shootings in the 1880's before the notorious shootings of 1899. Thank you and PLEASE simplify the process for asking questions of Wikipedia.

United States Articles of Confederation

[edit]

In Article XIII of the Article of Confederation the second paragraph starts with:

"And Whereas it hath pleased the Great Governor of the World to incline the hearts of the legislatures we respectively represent in Congress, to approve of, and to authorize us to ratify the said Articles of Confederation and perpetual Union"

Who or What is the "Great Governor of the World" and why do I need him to "...incline the hearts" of anyone69.206.144.191 (talk) 15:55, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Aryan Invasion theory

[edit]

I have requested for the creation of this article.

I cannot create this article because of a perceived conflict of interest. Many people oppose this Aryan Invasion theory, and even if it is a lie, there should be an article about it, not just a redirect page. IMO, Anti-Aryan Invasion theorists have a good reason to oppose it as they do not want the dravidians to feel less nationalistic. The article that existed was [replaced with a redirect page](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aryan_invasion_theory&action=historysubmit&type=revision&diff=228161991&oldid=228142002) and the redirect points to Mortimer Wheeler instead of his theory. Many people including the Hindu right wing Sangh_Parivar that forms the government would like to trash this theory as they do not want people to believe that Hinduism was foreign.

If anyone tries to speak about the Aryan Invasion theory in India, [they will be stopped](http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/ichr-debate-on-aryan-invasion-theory-cut-short/article7041514.ece)

But this is such an important an prelevant belief / accepted theory and it is definitely notable. An article is needed so badly.

Bogosa – a country in Africa in the times of Eudoxos

[edit]

Hi everyone, I have an update on the Bogosa and Eudoxus topics. After doing some research, I found out that Bogosa was not a country in Africa but a company name, and that Bogota was never called Bogosa. I also learned that Eudoxus was not very reliable as a source and that most of his works are lost. I recommend removing this suggestion unless more information can be provided. Islamic State in Saud Arábia

[edit]

This appears to already be the subject of Islam in Saudi Arabia. Crossing out request. Terrickisaiah555 [T]/[C] 02:08, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lixytes

[edit]

I was only able to find one reference regarding what appears to be a nomadic tribe that lived in mountains near the Lixus river.

Here is the link and part of the reference:

"Having left from there we arrive at the great Lixus river which flows from Libya The nomadic Lixytes grazed the pastures located along this river We stayed for some time among these peoples who had become our friends Above the Lixytes live the inhospitable Ethiopians who graze a land full of ferocious beasts surrounded by great mountains from which they say that the Lixus comes out" Terrickisaiah555 [T]/[C] 02:21, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lucius Cuspidius

[edit]

It appears he was a fake persona created by Pomponius Laetus, a humanist scholar and poet from the 15th century. 😱

He wrote a fake will under the name of Lucius Cuspidius, pretending to be an ancient Roman who left his fortune to his friends and relatives. 📜

He also added a fake contract of sale between two Romans named Jovianus and Pascutius Culita, which was actually written by another humanist named Giovanni Pontano. 📃

These fake documents were published by Rabelais in 1532 as a joke and a satire on the legal system of his time. 😂
