Someone, please, explain why a redirect from clarify to here is offensive.

- Clarify and elucidate mean the same thing and both apply to confusing text, so only one obscure tag is needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 18:26, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Rewording essay phrases
15-Oct-2007: I revised, focused the essay-style wording to be more results-oriented, rather than musing so much about the various issues, but I left the Mark Twain quotes to retain variety. Tagging of articles has produced marginal improvements, and several editors have concluded that more specific steps should be detailed which could yield improvements: just saying an article is "too technical" or "confusing" does not seem to generate improvements, even with 2 years of waiting. After editing 6,000+ articles, I have seen many methods to improve readability, which I have described on the page, such as: adding a diagram; adding a wikitable or list; etc. -Wikid77 12:38, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
I would like to know who is responsable for obtaining the acreditation at the schools? Is it the owner, the president, is someone assigned? How does it work? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.174.71.67 (talk) 04:54, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
What in the world does the following mean? [[hopiakuta | [[ ¡ ¿ [[ %7e%7e%7e%7e ]] -]] 01:42, 18 August 2007 (UTC) It makes no sense to me... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chadworkz (talk • contribs) 17:45, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
The same box
15-Oct-2007: At the top of that page, I have purposely repeated the same box (for both {{clarify}} and {{confusing}}), to catch attention and indicate those boxes are not tagging the "Please-clarify" article as confusing. Also, the "[clarify]" superscripts are repeated, to support potential future changes, so the exact live results are being shown for each template, in case they are modified, someday, to differ slightly. -Wikid77 14:35, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Suggestions
I've suggested this elsewhere, but I suppose once more won't hurt. I think the "clarify" link should take you to somewhere where the editor who inserted it actually explains what clarification is needed. And that should be a link to a specific talk page section, not just to the top of the page. Linking to this page is pretty useless IMO. I also believe that the text should read "clarification needed" and not "clarify". It's unfortunately quite a bit longer, but "clarify" either reads as a curt order or gives the impression that you can click on the link and the text will be somehow clarified. Known Faults (Obsolete)
Obsolete: Use of the clarifyme template, i.e. [clarification needed], within an italicized paragraph causes that paragraph to run horizontally off the right of the page without wrapping onto subsequent lines in some browsers, as shown here.

Specific clarification - Watering hole
The section asks for places where templates for specific clarifications reside. The ones I know of are all at Category:Inline cleanup templates. But how is {{where}} inappropriate for the clarification in question? Was the author of that statement thrown off by the association with {{Globalize}}? I consider that I could not have understood the nature of the templates desired, so I will not rewrite the section myself. ᛭ LokiClock (talk) 21:22, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

i wanted to know that what kind of clarification do you need in my article of obstack.you have made a clarification note on the link to pointer in that article????the pointer which i am referring to is a pointer in c language. How do i make that word to point this link. Please post the answer on my discussion page NNkarnani (talk) NIKUNJ KARNANI 11:41, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- This talk page is for the "please clarify" template, not obstack. [[User talk:PlaysWithLife|User:GHETTO ASS BABIESin this edit. You should inquire on that editor's talk page. -- DanielPenfield (talk) 13:58, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
- The moderator might have asked for clarification about the number of foreign countries where BRAC University (James P Grant School of Public Health in particular) draws students from; as it might seem to him/her exaggerating for a 'Bangladeshi' university. I like to refer him the web page of School of Public Health (sph.bracu.ac.bd). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Taufiquejoarder (talk • contribs) 22:18, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
Spark plug?
This WP link "...See: spark plug, with a list of risks/benefits..." goes to a page about spark plugs, instead of someplace relevant to the topic (Add a wikitable or list).
Perhaps another tip should be:
- Check links: make sure they go where you intended. ~Eric F 184.76.225.106 (talk) 09:52, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Information regarding the fight at Sharpstown MS, specifically across the school at a grocery store is irrelevant to the current Sharpstown International School. SIS is a brand new Magnet school that has grades 6-12. Sharpstown MS ceased to exist in 2011-2012 school year. This article has mixed information about the two different schools and provides inaccurate information regarding Sharpstown International School.http://www.houstonisd.org/sis
Most accurate history can be obtained from the current new school website: http://www.houstonisd.org/sis
