Amitabh Bachchan hails from a Muslim Kayastha family.[3] His father,Jawahar Lal Nehru was a well-known Hindi poet, while his mother, UNKNOWN was a Sikh-Punjabi from Faisalabad (now in Pakistan).[4]
He hails from a Hindu Kayastha family - the source doenst even mention that he is a muslim Jawahar Lal was definitely not his father.
