Merger
[edit]Wikipedia:The Little Brother syndrome says essentially the exact same thing as this page. I propose it be merged here as it is redundant. Beeblebrox (talk) 23:21, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
- Done well sort of, I redirected it here, but since they said essentially the same thing I didn't really find any content unique enough to bother merging.Beeblebrox (talk) 16:32, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Doesn't work for appealing blocks
[edit]Why is it that now blaming your little brother doesn't work? Now the requests are declined instead of accepted. 71.94.158.203 (talk) 22:02, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
- You seem to be having a lot of trouble today with comprehending our blocking policies. This essay is sarcasm to demonstrate the futility of blaming others for your own actions, it has never been considered a valid reason to unblock, see WP:GOTHACKED. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:28, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Little sisters
[edit]From a feminist point of view, I think little sisters should be included as well (no, they are not necessarily "prim and proper"…) – Danmichaelo (talk) 23:13, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- Agree. But this is just sarcastic so it doesn't really matter. Gug01 (talk) 16:51, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
Problem with the nutshell box
[edit]It is my understanding that the text in the "This page in a nutshell" box is written seriously because there is a "Seriously, though..." section at the end of the page, but since all other nutshell boxes on pages with the {{humorantipolicy}} template are written sarcastically (i.e. advocating the "standards or conduct that are generally not accepted by the Wikipedia community"), it is easy for readers to assume that this is also the case with this page, and that what this nutshell box says is wrong, and that they can blame their little brother. This misunderstanding is especially likely to occur to casual readers - people who skim the content of the page or do not read the page at all, since the purpose of the nutshell box is to avoid reading a lengthy page. Real Talk: Shared IP Addresses
[edit]A lot of ISPs have their customers sharing IP addresses with neighboring residences, most notably in college campuses. Would "someone else in my dorm probably did something stupid" be reason enough to unblock someone?

- That would be Wikipedia:Autoblock. --Damian Yerrick (talk) 02:30, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
