Date
[edit]Late August/Early September:
- Saturday, August 25
- Saturday, September 1 (note: this is Labor Day weekend, so probably not such a good plan)
- Saturday, September 8
- Sunday, September 16
or else some other day?
- I'm going to be bold and call this for September 8th. If a bunch of you can't make it, then let's push it back to September 16th. Now, we need a location! -- phoebe/(talk) 15:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- how about September 16th, then? -- phoebe/(talk) 22:27, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
what day works best for you?
I prefer Sept. 8
[edit]I prefer Sept. 16
[edit]--JackHerrick 19:30, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
--Liz Henry I'd love to come to this. Y'all come to Wiki Wednesday in Palo Alto Sept. 5 if you can!
--Her Pegship (tis herself) 00:05, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
--BrokenSphereMsg me 05:53, 9 September 2007 (UTC) Heck it's Sept. 8. now. =O I work down in PA. What's this Wiki Wednesday thing?
Either one
[edit]- phoebe/(talk) 19:14, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- Dvortygirl 19:36, 19 August 2007 (UTC) Either works, but the 16th might have a bit more space between it and Wiki Wednesday in Palo Alto on the 5th. Also, looks like more people might be able to attend.
- Delirium 21:07, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Prove It (talk) 04:09, 21 August 2007 (UTC) Either way works for me.
- I'm flexible. Georgewilliamherbert 19:01, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Neither/other
[edit]So, are we doing this?
[edit]I want to start thinking about plans for the weekend. Her Pegship (tis herself) 18:09, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- We are doing this! Narrowing down a location and time. -- phoebe/(talk) 22:11, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Time and location discussion
[edit]- How about 3 pm? If that is a huge problem please comment, otherwise let's go with that. -- phoebe/(talk) 21:55, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- How long would this be projected to go? Whenever? Other than that the time for me at least (barring anything else that comes up on Sunday) is good. BrokenSphereMsg me 22:16, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- 1 pm or 2 pm would be best, but 3 pm is also workable. -- Prove It (talk) 01:54, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Location
[edit]- See San Francisco 2 for previously mentioned options. Somewhere in the city seems most convenient for all attendees.
Suggestions?
- I think the best place for lots of people to meet is in one of those open grass fields in Golden Gate Park. Unless someone wants some cafe downtown --Cs california 04:23, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ferry building? Hydrogen Iodide 04:24, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- We met in the Ferry Building last time and it worked well. -- phoebe/(talk) 21:55, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please not GGP - somewhere in downtown SF is way more convenient for people all over the Bay Area. If we want an eatery or other food source, we could meet *near* (not at) the Ferry Plaza farmer's market on Saturday. (More ideas in next entry.) Jennifer Brooks 17:49, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ideas: Yerba Buena Gardens - it has the Zeum Cafe (http://www.zeum.org/visitor/zeumCafe.html) by the on the south side (by the Carousel), as well as the Samovar Tea Lounge (http://www.samovartea.com) on the upper terrace, and lots of room to spread out, as well. Jennifer Brooks 17:49, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Somewhere within blocks of BART. Zeum would be fine. Her Pegship (tis herself) 20:05, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Both of the Yerba Buena Gardens suggestions are about a 10 minute walk the train station, which isn't too bad. -- Prove It (talk)
- P.S. Lunch time or early afternoon would be much better than late afternoon or evening, at least for me. -- Prove It (talk) 14:41, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'd rather not do a grassy field; I need somewhere wheelchair accessible, somewhere where I can also find parking. - LizHenry
- Either Yerba Buena Gardens or the Ferry Building seem like the best options. The Ferry Building worked pretty well, but I'm up for something new and there might be more room at YB. Which of the Yerba Buena locations (vs. the Ferry buildings) is best for extended hanging out around a big table? I know YB has parking but the Ferry Building is slightly closer to the train. Comments please :) -- phoebe/(talk) 22:00, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- FB, please. Her Pegship (tis herself) 22:16, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm fine with either one, it's either one of 2 BART stops for me. BrokenSphereMsg me 03:20, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
