Between meal activities
I'm thinking that we might want to do something in between meals this time. Maybe hit the museaum or the like? bahamut0013wordsdeeds 10:55, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Possible for me
I'm returning from Deployment in April so I'll see what's going on around home and see if I can make it out there. I think it would be nice to meet some of you strangers. I'll definitely bring my camera too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marine79 (talk • contribs) 06:53, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
New dates
Since the original May 29–30 dates were just struck out by Lara, that would potentially impact whether or not I could be there; I'm busy for the entire month of May, but the following weekend (or really anytime in June) I'm free and could make the trip. EVula // talk // ☯ // 03:14, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- It's probably going to be the following weekend. Four day weekend for the BRC crew. Official meetup June 5-6. Not sure yet, however. We're waiting for some final details on Ironholds' schedule. But it's basically now between that weekend and the next. Lara 03:17, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- I can do either of those weekends. EVula // talk // ☯ // 14:30, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- 4-6 will probably be fine; I may have a final dissertation briefing on the 9th or 10th, though. I'm waiting on my supervisor to hear back from the framework office. Ironholds (talk) 15:13, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- 4-7. Making a looong weekend of it for the BRCers. Let me know asap. Lara 20:42, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Some of us have jobs and stuff.
- Seriously, though, I think that weekend works, though I'd probably have to restrict myself to just Saturday because I have to go camping on the 8th. Seriously, it's mandatory PTSD therapy (eye rolling). bahamut0013wordsdeeds 21:02, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- That's cool, matey! And hey, some of us have jobs as well! We just don't get shot for not turning up :P. Ironholds (talk) 21:06, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Camping's not so bad. Good times to be had. Don't shoot any of us in Raleigh. :D Lara 14:21, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't last time, did I? No, I just threatened my wife, nothing scary about that! bahamut0013wordsdeeds 11:04, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- I went home and practised "he was a lovely man, we had no idea he'd kill all those children! ...Although that row of tiny shoes in front of his house should have been a clue.." in the mirror until it sounded sincere :P. Ironholds (talk) 11:46, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- I've been called a lot of bad names, but "lovely" was never one of them. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 12:39, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- Lovely is a bad name? What about the USMC "Operation: Kittens and Sugar" program? Ironholds (talk) 12:41, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- We ate all of the kittens and adopted the bags of sugar. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 14:58, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Food
Where are we eating? Start tossing out ideas for me to shoot down. No, I'm just kidding. Seriously. Ideas! If anyone suggests The Busy Bee, you're uninvited this time. <3 Lara 14:21, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- At least during "brunch" hours... <rolleyes>
- The Pit and Raleigh Times were quite awesome, and I wouldn't mind a repeat. However, I recall several that we couldn't make it to with scheduling conflicts, and trying at least one of them out would be my first choice. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 19:37, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- I enjoyed both very much and I know Ironholds said he definitely wanted to do The Pit again. I'm sort of thinking it might be best to stick with what we know is good and plug them both in. Then we're just in need of one other venue. Lara 21:28, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Lookin at the previous conversation, I'd say that The Point is out due to the use of the B-word. 518 West would be good for dinner if it wasn't a bit pricey. I'd be willing to try Sitti if you're willing to watch me get up and go to the bathroom every five minutes. Mura Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar has mostly positive reviews, and the price is right (unless you want Kobe steak), and I would vote for that. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 21:54, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

- OK. I have a seriously awesome suggestion for dinner one of the nights. Hi 5 Sports Restaurant. The menu is "upscale sports bar" (think fru-fru burgers), they have rooms for reservation, and the gimmick is every item on the menu is $5.00. You pay more than that at McDonalds for a burger. Seriously. And it shares a kitchen with Bogarts. It is really good food. I took my family there, and fed a family of 4, with desert and several beers for under $30.00. If we reserve the function room or something like that, we could easily fit everyone in there, and have a great time. --Jayron32 14:00, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- It's got some good reviews and seems to fit the bill perfectly. I'm shifting my vote. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 15:16, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
May have to postpone
This one isn't shaping up as hoped. Limited fundage, other obligations, etc., etc. are leaving this one pretty bare on attendees. Even a lot of the locals are busy. May have to hold off until a later date. September-ish, perhaps. Lara 13:15, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Alternatively, we may just cut this down to one meal. A Saturday dinner, perhaps? Lara 13:16, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, then. That works. bahamut0013wordsdeeds 14:22, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- I could probably do a late September. A Saturday dinner sounds like fun, but that'd be a lot of driving (for me) for a single evening. EVula // talk // ☯ // 18:08, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- BRC meets, as you know, are typically weekends. September will be planned as such. ;) Lara 19:16, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- Fuuuuuuck yes. I'll go ahead and plan on not making the drive in June (which is great for me, since one of my friends was having a birthday shindig on that Saturday; now I can attend!) EVula // talk // ☯ // 19:28, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- You'd already confirmed you weren't coming! Said you were in a play....... or was that just a ruse! *raises eyebrow* Lara 15:37, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- No, I couldn't make it in May, but I could make it in June, (show closes May 29) which is what I said earlier. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 15:48, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- That doesn't preclude at all the possibility of a devious ploy on your part. An evil plot... to usurp control of the BRC from our fair leader, Empress Lara? I say: no! You may be always right, but you shan't be our new master! bahamut0013wordsdeeds 16:57, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- I don't want to dominate all the people of the BRC, just the hot chicks. Wait, what? EVula // talk // ☯ // 18:15, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

- I'm good for just one meal in June, since that would likely be what I can do anyways. Saturday dinner is cool. Howsabout Hi-5s, which I recommended above. Any objection to that? --Jayron32 21:02, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- Put it on the page days ago, sweetheart. Lara 15:37, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, Saturday is fine for me, but I'm starting to lose my hearing, and I'm only going to hear half of what's said in a crowded sports bar at 6 p.m. on a Saturday. Is anyone interested in meeting somewhere quieter before the main event at 6 p.m.? - Dank (push to talk) 18:33, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

←Oh, wait, it's my turn? Either would be fine; what's available at our main museums is something I really ought to know. I don't know when people are arriving ... say, 3-ish at one of those museums? I can give you my cell number so we won't miss each other. - Dank (push to talk) 13:56, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia 10th anniversary events
Hi Bathrobe Cabal! I'd like to let you know about all the Wikipedia 10th anniversary worldwide events for January 2011, and maybe you'd be interested in doing something in Raleigh or parts thereabout then too :)--Pharos (talk) 06:49, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- I would love to. Not sure if I can do much organizing, but I would definately attend. --Jayron32 07:00, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Unlikely for me and most of the crew considering the short notice. Plane tickets will be much more expensive with a month or so advanced purchase as opposed to the two or three we normally go for. I'll do some checking to be sure, though. Lara 22:06, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Really? Don't some folks actually live around, or within driving distance of Raleigh?--Pharos (talk) 23:38, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
- A few. Most of us from the original Raleigh meet traveled from elsewhere. From Ohio, New York, Louisiana, D.C., and London, England... perhaps others I'm forgetting. Lara 04:35, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Well hopefully something more local could still be arranged (in Raleigh or Charleston or Nashville or wherever the Bathrobers congregate); we could get a lot of notice for it through WP:Geonotice and other means, and in any case feel free to add a page to the http://ten.wikipedia.org/ Main Page.--Pharos (talk) 00:42, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
- Prices for travel has most of the BRC pretty much out, but I can attempt to make it. I'm only about an hour and a half away. Just sort of depends on the events. But as for the next BRC meet, it is scheduled for August and will be in Raleigh. We have about a half dozen confirmed so far (from the US, Australia, and England). Haven't gotten a page set up on WP yet, though. Lara 01:28, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
