Wikitext Snippets
[edit]To put Wikitext onto the page so that it will actually show the code wrap it with "< pre >< nowiki > code < /pre >< /nowiki >" and remove the spaces - or just go to the edit view of this page and you'll see it there.
To add the grey info box to an artist's biography, put this at the top of the editor:
{{Infobox artist | honorific_prefix = | name = <!-- include middle initial, if not specified in birth_name --> | honorific_suffix = | image = <!-- just the pagename, without the File:/Image: prefix or [[brackets]] --> | image_size = | alt = | caption = | native_name = | native_name_lang = | birth_name = <!--only use if different from name--> | birth_date = <!-- {{Birth date and age|YYYY|MM|DD}} for living artists, {{Birth date|YYYY|MM|DD}} for dead --> | birth_place = | death_date = <!-- {{Death date and age|YYYY|MM|DD|YYYY|MM|DD}} --> | death_place = | resting_place = | resting_place_coordinates = <!-- {{Coord|LAT|LONG|type:landmark|display=inline}} --> | nationality = | education = | alma_mater = | known_for = | notable_works = | style = | movement = | spouse = | awards = <!-- {{awd|award|year|title|role|name}} (optional) --> | elected = | patrons = | memorials = | website = <!-- {{URL|Example.com}} --> | module = }}

Feedback
[edit]Hello Peterborough arts enthusiasts! Although I'm an active Wikipedia editor, I've never been to an Editathon, so I'm looking forward to taking part in this one. I've been more into music articles than artists, although I've worked on Life of a Craphead, Adele Enersen, Anne DeGrace and RAW artists. There are some drafts already in progress about artists, for example Draft:Angela Grossmann , and Draft:Roewan Crowe.
Does the topic include dancers, filmmakers, writers, etc., or is restricted to static visual arts? If other types of creative people are included, Draft:Dawn Wilkinson, Draft:Helen Haig-Brown, Marianne Hettinger and Draft:Karen TenEyck could use some TLC.
Is the focus only on Canadians? If not, Draft:Bonnie Collura, Draft:Gail Brodholt and Draft:Mary Agnes Reardon—Anne Delong (talk) 21:33, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
The short answer is yes to all of the above! The focus is not solely on Canadians and topics can include those involved in the arts in a variety of ways. Coat ellis (talk) 17:24, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, Coat ellis, for organizing the editathon. I enjoyed it and I hope that you will invite me if you decide to have another one sometime.—Anne Delong (talk) 03:18, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
Anne Delong it was great having you there! It would certainly not have been as successful. Sorry this response is so late. I'm hoping to do another one in a few months and I will certainly let you know. Maybe we can try and sort out the Draft:Aylene Fallah page. Coat ellis (talk) 03:17, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
