Time of meetup

Do we really want to meet at 11.00 a.m. when the AGM is at 4.00 p.m.? I thought the idea was to meet either directly before the AGM or directly after the AGM. I have also see the suggestion that the meetup be at Errol's and the AGM at ComputerBank. I for one do not want to be tied up with WMAU all day and I am responsible for the key for ComputerBank. --Bduke (Discussion) 07:59, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

After discussion by email with Steven Zhang, who has been organising meetups this year, I propose to change the time to 2.30 pm and the place to Errol's (http://www.errols.com.au/). I have informed the only other person who has so far signed up. Earlier meetups, particularly those linked to AGMs at Computer Bank, have been very successful at Errol's, while recent meetups at Computer Bank have not been so successful. Hi Leigh. We were looking forward to discussing your proposal. Perhaps you can come to the the next meetup - mention was made about Wikipedia's 12th anniversary in the middle of January. Keep an eye out for the Melbourne meetup 26. Most of the time at Meetup 25 was spent discussing the Wikimedia Australia AGM which was on later in the day.
