Notification
[edit]@Bridges2Information: Thanks for all your work on this event and page. I was wondering, would you like help sending talk page notifications to select members of WikiProject Oregon listed here? Many of these users live in Portland, and few likely log in enough to see the notification in time, but I don't mind sending the invite if you think that'd be helpful. Here is an example of one a notification I drafted and sent recently. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:13, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
@Another Believer: We've jumped into the deep end! So, yes, please, any help and guidance is much appreciated. In fact, on this talk page I can't figure out why I can't edit visually - is it not an option on talk pages? Bridges2Information (talk) 22:23, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Bridges2Information: I don't believe the visual editor works on talk pages. How about I propose some text here, and if you approve, I can send to the list? ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:25, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Another Believer:PERFECT! Bridges2Information (talk) 22:28, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Subject: Oregon State University Black History Month Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, Friday, February 8
To commemorate Black History Month, Oregon State University, Wikimedia Nigeria, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and AfroCROWD are hosting a Wikipedia edit-a-thon at the Oregon State University Valley Library on Friday, February 8 from 2–5pm. The purpose of the event is to reduce Wikipedia's diversity gap by creating and improving articles about African American culture and history, as well as notable people of African descent and the African diaspora in general. Please visit here for more information. Remote participation is welcome!
@Bridges2Information: Does this work? ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:30, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Another Believer: Yes, thank you! Bridges2Information (talk) 22:32, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Bridges2Information: OK, thanks, I'll send soon, and you've been added to the list of notification recipients. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:33, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Tracking
[edit]Also, I noticed the activity tracking times here are the same. I'm not very familiar with how the dashboard works, but I wonder if these should be changed at all. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:26, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Another Believer: This is my fault, I should not have gone in and messed with the dates. I'll see if I can fix it back, if not, I've let AfroCROWD know...they setup the page for us.
- Sounds good! Something else unique to talk pages... you can sign your comment by either entering four tildes (~~~~) or clicking on the little signature icon in the edit toolbar. That way people know when comments were added and by whom. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:38, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
I'm now seeing "page not found" here. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:26, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- Never mind, the page has been updated with working URLs. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:05, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
