Williams scans

[edit]

I'm looking for higher-res copies of the photos used at Williams's Breaking Ground page for Blanche Wheeler Williams. Would someone at Brown for ALE be able to hook me up? czar  13:20, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Those images are credited to Smith College Archives. A quick search of that website turned up one image for Harriet Boyd Hawes but I didn't see anything for Blanche Wheeler Williams. Looking at the left sidebar of the Breaking Ground website it may be that those photos were taken from the book Breaking Ground: Pioneering Women Archaeologists. I suspect that Brown does not have the original photos. I would try locating the book at the library to see if the photos were published in it and maybe also contact someone at the Smith Archives. On a related note, there is one photo of Lida Shaw King in the Brown archives. I hope this helps; feel free to ping me if there is anything else I can help track down. --mikeu talk 14:26, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I'll try the book the next time I go to the library. If anyone does have access to high-res copies at Brown (since they were most likely downsized for the website), they're in the public domain and I'd appreciate a scan. Please alert me on my talk page if y'all find something. I am no longer watching this page—whisperback if you'd like a response czar  15:31, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
