Look, she is Australian. You will notice when she is interviewed she occasionally says when refering to other actor such as Russell Crowe or Naomi Watts as 'fellow Australians'. She has never once declared herself to be an American. I have noticed that Jackie Chan is so called 'dual national" but there is no mention of it and he is referred to as Chinese. That is fair. But Nicole's parents are Australian, her heritiage is Australian and she was raised in Australia. The fact that she was born there does not make her Australian. Vivian Leigh was not reffered to as Indian or was Olivia De Harland Japanese. I do not like this so called "you chose her nationality". It's bad enough ALL references of an Australian in Mel Gibson had to be deleted and we have to say he's 100% American. Now we're told we can not refer to her as Australian simply because she happened to be born there. She's the same nationality as her parent's, Australian. And I will continue to revert it. Basically every place says she is Australian apart from here. Great. Then find a reputable source and cite it. Dual national is a fact. That she is either is a claim. Cite it. What is so hard to understand about that? A person can speak about being Australian but this does not imply that they are not also American. Many dual-citizens do this. It's clear (to me) that Kidman primarily identifies as Australian but this does not negate her dual-citizenship, nor can I understand why you are adding "Australian" to the article when later in the same paragraph, it mentions her dual-citizenship. This seems counterproductive. I hope some sort of compromise can be reached. Perhaps something along the lines of "dual citizenship (American and Australian), but primarily identifies as Australian." Or something. I'm not sure whether that's any good. In any case, Sliat 1981's continued WP:3RR violations need to cease. --Yamla 02:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where does she ever say that she considers herself American as well? Look at her pages about 99.99% refer to her as an Australian actress. I have never seen one that refers to her as an Australian/American or an American actress. This is the only place where it does. This has to stop. I ahve never taken out the fact that she has dual nationality, but she is universally recognised as an Australian. For example on entertainment tonight they usually say 'Australian acotor" or when referring to Russell as a "fellow aussie". This is the only place on the web I have seen that does not refer to her as an Australian even though that's what basically everyone (including herlf) refer to her as.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sliat 1981 (talk • contribs)
