Huggle Download
[edit]Please may I note that to download Huggle, you must have .NET Framework Version 2.0.50727, NOT version 2.0 as said on the Download Page The Best Twinkler (talk) 15:31, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, 50727 is the build number. They are the same thing -- Gurch (talk) 00:29, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Redirect
[edit]Shouldn't this redirect to the feedback page? UntilItSleeps PublicPC 20:21, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Wrong download link?
[edit]The download link seems to be wrong in the Huggle "infobox" (or whatever you call the white box at the top of the main page). When you click "Download" (between "About Huggle" and "Manual" in the first column), it takes you to a page that begins with...
- If you have not used Huggle before, follow
enable:true
to the page before downloading. and add the text
...which shows code for 0.8.3, not 0.9. Is that intentional? I see now the .EXE (client) has a different version than the .CSS (server). I assume since I don't get error 417 anymore, this is normal. A bit confusing for the uninformed, I guess. — VoxLuna ☾ orbitland 02:52, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I sorta get it. When you close the new client (0.9), it updates your User/huggle.css page to the new version. Still, I'm curious why the link doesn't match the current version to begin with -- wouldn't that save some (meager) bandwidth? — VoxLuna ☾ orbitland 03:22, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Which link? Calvin 1998 (t·c) 02:20, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
- I resolved this a couple weeks back, but I just noted your comment today. Looking back at it now, I can't determine what I was referring to. Perhaps I may have been confused by the code in my huggle CSS page. In any event, all the links I see now are for 0.90. Sorry for any aggravation. — VoxLuna ☾ orbitland 05:33, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Wine
[edit]I have just gotten Huggle to work with Wine on a MacBook running OS 10.4. Note that I had to do a ton of fingeling to get it to work, and I have no clue how I did it. All I remember is that you need IE6, .NET 2.0, Windows version of Mono, MSI 2.0, gecko. Might be worth mentioning. Xclamation point 03:29, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Try out Mono. Huggle works well with it; you don't have to use Wine. Mono project Devper94 (talk) 09:49, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
What is lite?

[edit]I am unable to download the file. Google shows a 404 error. Is anyone else having trouble? Cutno (talk) 23:09, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Is there any other way to download Huggle? It has been forbidden for Iranian. Any mirror link?Farhikht (talk) 11:40, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Downloading Problem
[edit]It says there is an error and it cannot initialize properly. Anyone else having similar difficulties? 149AFK (talk) 03:32, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
- The same thing happened to me. Could you upgrade Huggle to Vr. 2.1.17 with that bug fixed? StormContent (talk) 02:32, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Move? redirect?
[edit]- Wikipedia talk:Huggle/Download → Wikipedia:Huggle/Feedback
- Wikipedia talk:Huggle/Wine → Wikipedia:Huggle/Feedback
- Wikipedia talk:Huggle/Development → Wikipedia:Huggle/Feedback
- It seems all Huggle related talk pages have been redirected to the feedback page, but some have been missed. Pol430 talk to me
- Move all 3 pages to one same page!?!? Or redirect? If redirect, what happens to the current text of the 3 talk pages? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:26, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Speedy procedural close you can't move three pages to the same name. Whatever you're looking for, it's not WP:RM. It might be WP:PM (proposed mergers) or WP:RFC (requests for comments) or WP:RFD (redirects for discussion). 76.65.128.132 (talk) 08:06, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- Comment It appears all the other pages that were redirected, were blanked and replaced with a redirect. I was hoping for some sort of technical move/history merge, but as a non-admin my knowledge of such matters is limited. Pol430 talk to me 10:41, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- You archive each of the talk pages you want to redirect, add an archivebox to the destination talk page, with links to the archived discussions of the pages to be redirected, add a section stating that various talk pages were redirected there. You should copy the current live discussions (as opposed to stale ones) to the destination talk page. In the edit history for each redirection, state that you're redirecting them, and why, and to where. To see how to archive a talk page, see WP:ARCHIVE. Each archival should also be accompanied by edit summaries stating where the content was archived, and the archive page edit summary should indicate where it came from. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 11:00, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
