Using hidden text to hide poor quality sources
[edit]If article body contains contents based on reliable as well as unreliable sources, is the use of hidden comment to put inappropriate sources out of the view? I am seeing this being done in some articles. This seems like the use of article space as a sandbox Graywalls (talk) 00:11, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Graywalls: This tends to be a very bad idea, because what ends up happening is that the hidden text stays there forever, and becomes nothing more than pollution. Contested sources and content should be moved to the talk page, where it can be seen. BD2412 T 14:03, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
Visual editor method?
[edit]Is there any way to add hidden text using the visual editor? Zanahary (talk) 22:27, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
I raised the matter about using {{screen reader-only}} at Template talk:Screen reader-only. Discussion: Template talk:Screen reader-only#Application of MOS:HIDDEN. George Ho (talk) 22:34, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
