[edit]I just wanted to mention that this has been a popular joke in engineering circles for many years; I didn't invent the story. It would be interesting to figure out who did. Here it is in 2008:

Also, in my opinion the point is more subtle that this page claims (an editor who's own behavior is similar to what they accuse others of or an editor who excuses his behavior by referring to what other editors did). Rather than describing someone who knows that are wrong but points at others who are also wrong, I think it describes someone who is absolutely convinced that they are right and the fact that pretty much everyone they encounter thinks they are wrong doesn't matter. --Guy Macon Alternate Account (talk) 08:21, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
