Working definition
[edit]The working definition of this topic seems to be "notable songs on the album Christ Illusion". --MarcK 17:51, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Vital improvements
[edit]This topic meets current criteria perfectly, no improvements are really necessary. --MarcK 17:51, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Potential improvements
[edit]All current articles are featured, so there doesn't appear to be any room for improvement here. --MarcK 17:51, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Possible additions
[edit]As mentioned in the nomination, if by chance any other tracks from the album are released as singles or otherwise become notable on their own, then they would certainly merit inclusion in the topic. Otherwise I see no necessary additions to this. --MarcK 17:51, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- I have suggested in the candidacy discussion that Eternal Pyre, an EP that acted as a preview for one of the tracks, and was released on the album's originally planned release date, could be considered. Circeus 17:16, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed you did.. it's a consideration. I'll get it to GA sometime to cover all posts. LuciferMorgan 17:22, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Shouldn't Slayer (band) be included in this Topic? Of course, WP:Slayer being the perfectionists they are it's already Featured... --kingboyk (talk) 21:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Somewhere in the archives there is a long discusion about that for another band. In the end it was decided that topics do not have to include the parent articles of the lead article. If one wanted to make a topic including the band, they could have the band as the lead article and the albums as the member articles. --Arctic Gnome (talk • contribs) 22:46, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. Been doing my own digging:
- Wikipedia:Featured topic candidates/Love. Angel. Music. Baby. covers it. I don't think that the debate settled it at all really, however :)
- I'm well aware they can aim for Slayer to be a featured topic (and they probably will), but the fact remains that the topic of Christ Illusion by Slayer is somewhat incomplete if it doesn't include an article on Slayer. For that matter, it arguably ought to contain articles on the producer and other key personnel too.
- And, since you've got me started :), 3 or 4 articles does not much of a topic make - I may just as well go split The KLF into 3 pieces and nominate it as a topic! I think album+2 singles is way too narrow to get any respect as a Featured Topic, sorry... --kingboyk (talk) 22:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not too bothered, since even the improved metal content doesn't get respect around here anyway. The Slayer project wrote 9 FAs, and still someone felt the need to try to get the project deleted. Considering the lack of material available on that album, I'm proud of this featured topic. Simply put, we're not dealing with a Beatles album where all the songs have the potential to be FA. LuciferMorgan (talk) 09:13, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
