[edit]@FAR coordinators: SouthernNights you mentioned working on this after December 21; how is this going? Is it time to bring this back to FAR? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:43, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- @FAR coordinators: @SouthernNights: there have been no edits, and more than two months have elapsed; should we bring this back to FAR? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:31, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- It looks like SouthernNights is only intermittently active; if we don't hear from them otherwise within the next few days I would suggest bringing back to FAR> Nikkimaria (talk) 22:51, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]- "Henson escaped slavery in 1830 by fleeing to the Province of Upper Canada (now Ontario), where he helped other fugitive slaves settle and become self-sufficient." - citation needed
- "Eight power presses, running incessantly, could barely keep up with the demand" - is there a link for power press? I'm assuming it's a specialized form of printing press, but power press doesn't seem to be the right thing
- "Through the 1880s until its copyright expired, the book served as a mainstay and reliable source of income for Harcourt" - I think it can be made clearer that Harcourt = Houghton Mifflin
- I'm a bit surprised that the scene of Eliza fleeing across the frozen river isn't mentioned in the plot summary; I'd always been under the impression that it was one of the most famous scenes of the novel
Ready for themes, more later. Hog Farm Talk 06:09, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- "In the 20th century, a number of writers attacked Uncle Tom's Cabin, including Richard Wright with his collection Uncle Tom's Children (1938) and Chester Himes with his 1943 short story "Heaven Has Changed."" - I think it should be stated exactly why Wright and Himes were attacking it
- I don't think File:Babbuncletomscabin.jpg meets WP:NFCC here.
- Buidhe has removed the image, so we're good there. Hog Farm Talk 17:30, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
@SouthernNights: - I think that's all from me! Good work! Hog Farm Talk 18:14, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
- Many thanks for doing this, Hog Farm. I'm slammed with a deadline right now but I'll correct the issues you raised in a few days. As for power press, based on the time frame (early 1850s) I'm pretty sure that refers to a steam-powered rotary printing press. If you want we could remove the word "power" and simply say eight printing presses could barely keep up with demand.--SouthernNights (talk) 12:54, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
- @SouthernNights: - That would work. Hog Farm Talk 14:58, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Hog Farm: I've made all these changes. Thanks for the feedback.--SouthernNights (talk) 13:52, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
