[edit]- Why not just "described it formally" instead of "described it formally"
- Yes, I like that - changed. Casliber (talk · contribs) 21:04, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
- What makes Wiktionary a reliable source?
- Good question. I always thought of those as bluelinks rather than sources, but I am unaware of previous discussion on the validity of this. I've found often that the target article doesn't explain or cover what you need it to. Worth raising at WT:FAC maybe... Casliber (talk · contribs) 21:04, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
- Doesn't look like it's acceptable. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:54, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- aaah my bad. I was talking about links such as wikt:gregarious, which I've used instead of gregarious (as an example). I didn't see that one as a ref. I've removed it. Am pretty sure all is covered by OED which I can check when I get home later. Casliber (talk · contribs) 04:40, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ah yes. For blue-links, I have no issues with that.

- Note the hidden comment "not the right place; which volume?". Has this been solved?
- I've added a citation needed tag.
- I have removed the sentence. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Is "upperparts" correct here?
- Changed to "back". Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- "6 and 11 metres per second" - feet per second?
- Done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Why are "pigeon" and "chough" miniscule but "Rook" capitalised?
- the third is a species, and its its official name, hence capitalised. I know it looks funny..... Casliber (talk · contribs) 04:47, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good.

- Compare: ""chyak-chyak" or "kak-kak"" to "transcribed as kiaw or kyow"
- Doesn't show up very well, but you have chyak-chyak and kak-kak in quotes but kiaw and kyow without.
- Done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:45, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- You've got Lake Baikal linked at least twice
- delinked second mention of it Casliber (talk · contribs) 04:47, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- "agonistic" - Perhaps a link?
- Done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:58, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Rubbish tips - Is that a purely British term? Is there a more general word available?
- funnily enough, I'd say that was it. I never knew "landfill" was the default term in theUS until writng this article. We'd say rubbish tip here like is used in the UK...I am open to suggestions on this one. Casliber (talk · contribs) 04:47, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Dump? Of course, that's not quite formal. If there's no middle ground, I'd stick with Rubbish tips.

- "Breeding colonies may also edge out those of the Red-billed Chough (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax)" - First instance was up in etymology. Why is the species name down in behaviour?
- Species name now in Etymology instead. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:39, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Egg sizes - Why no imperial?
- Imperial sizes now added. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:43, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- Check your capitalisations on "jackdaw" as a stand-alone word. I'm seeing both capital and miniscule letters.
- I think I have changed them all to miniscule. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:43, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- I still see it near kavka. That's it. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:17, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

- "kavka" - is the link really necessary?
- Removed. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:08, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
- That's about it, interesting read. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 15:06, 13 May 2012 (UTC)
