TFA blurb review

[edit]

Design A-150 was a planned class of battleships for the Imperial Japanese Navy. In keeping with the Navy's long tradition, they were designed to be superior to all other battleships that might be faced in battle, such as those from the United States or Great Britain. The class would have been armed with six 51-centimeter (20.1 in) guns, the largest weapons carried aboard any warship in the world. Design work on the A-150s began after designs for the preceding Yamato class were completed in 1938–1939. The work was mostly finished by early 1941, when the Japanese began focusing on aircraft carriers and smaller warships in preparation for the coming conflict with the United States and Great Britain. Two A-150s were projected in a 1942 building program, but no ship would ever be laid down. Many details of the design were destroyed near the end of the war, along with most of the other documentation relating to the class. (This article is part of a featured topic: Battleships of Japan.)

Pinging The ed17 and Sturmvogel 66: great article. Now we're doing blurbs for all articles promoted at FAC in 2018. Thoughts and edits are welcome. - Dank (push to talk) 12:09, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Made a couple of small changes, 879 characters now.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 13:24, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Including "Full article...", I'm getting 897. The trouble is, people complain if it's too short; 925 seems to be the magic number. Is there anything you can add? - Dank (push to talk) 17:37, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
A little, up to 930 now.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 19:55, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
