[edit]- "On April 29, 2016, a leaked full retailer advertisement for Infinite Warfare revealed that Modern Warfare Remastered would include the single-player campaign and ten multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare" --> fine
- "Modern Warfare Remastered was later released as a standalone game for the PlayStation 4 on June 27, 2017, followed by the Xbox One and Windows on July 27, 2017" --> Source (dated July 27) just states that Ps4 version was released "in June" and just states that the other versions are "now available"
- I've sourced another article that explicitly gives the release date of the PS4 version as June 27. I've left the existing source in to cite the release date of the other versions as I'm really struggling to find any that give the date of July 27; the only mention is when it's being used as the publication date of the articles. Would this be WP:SYNTH if one source says June 27 and the other says "exactly a month later"?
- I'd recommend stating that the one was released on June 27[source], and then that "according to [source]", the other was released exactly a month later, or something along those lines.
- Couldn't I just replace the mention of "July 27, 2017" with "exactly a month later"? I'm not sure what including "according to..." adds, other than calling into question its validity.
- Yeah, that would also work.
- Done.
- "Activision became interested in a remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare following the circulation of an online petition" --> Checks out
- "In the multiplayer mode, if a weapon is equipped, players can taunt their opponents, by allowing the player to inspect the exterior of their gun for example" --> checks out
- "Destructoid also condemned Activision's business practices involving Modern Warfare Remastered, voicing their disinterest in buying the standalone after waiting six months for its release, writing, "I might've parted with that much money for it last year, but not now. It's too late." --> Checks out, including the direct quote
- "IGN awarded the game the accolade of "Best Remaster" in 2016." --> checks out
- "Push Square wrote that the remaster looked and sounded on par with a modern release, writing, "It's nothing short of a profound feat" --> checks out, including direct quote
- "it was not included with any retail versions of Modern Warfare Remastered" --> checks out, "standard release"
- "It includes the same four maps—"Killhouse", "Chinatown", "Creek", and "Broadcast"—and 10 rare supply drops" --> also checks out
On the whole, pretty good here. Hog Farm Talk 04:16, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
