Query about scope

[edit]

@Primefac: did you mean the approval to cover all Lint errors? There are over 17.6 million Lint errors as of this writing. The scope would be huge, so just wanted to make sure there are no misunderstandings. --ಮಲ್ನಾಡಾಚ್ ಕೊಂಕ್ಣೊ (talk) 17:50, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have successfully put through a number of large-scale Lint-error fixes, and I am presuming that you will continue to do so based on the assumption that a) you are fixing large-scale issues such as signatures or one particular "type" of Lint-fix, and b) that you keep a log of each of these fixes so that they can be double-checked for accuracy and appropriateness.
For the record, I am not suggesting that this bot fix every Lint error on Wikipedia (and have amended the close somewhat to make that a little more clear), but the bot (and by extension, you) has demonstrated the ability to properly fix large groups of similar issues, which is after all the point of bots. I consider this approval to be akin to SporkBot or PrimeBOT's ability to implement TFD outcomes - both operators have demonstrated the ability to make good decisions in that area and thus their bots are basically given free reign in that particular field.
