@Cyberpower678:; @The Earwig: I'd like to see some clarity on this running as a different account see flag request. Also, what do you mean by shared access is there another operator that will be in control of this bot? — xaosflux Talk 23:54, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Xaosflux: I have no knowledge of Cyberpower's intentions here, as I am just finding out about this, so I can't comment on the shared access. However, spinning off tasks to new accounts (or merging multiple bots into one) is fairly standard procedure, so I don't see the problem with that, as long as he links to the BRFA and creates Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/InternetArchiveBot as a redirect. — Earwig talk 00:03, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the update Earwig, this all seems reasonable, just making sure we didn't miss something at the last min. — xaosflux Talk 00:14, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to run this bot on a VM on the IA provided by the staff of IA. They will be able to see the access credentials of the bot, so I created a separate entity from Cyberbot II to keep the accounts secure. The bot's code will also be accessible to them, though I will be the primary developer of the code. They are working to ensure that bot policy is followed, so the code's modification will not go out of the scope of approval.—cyberpowerMerry Christmas:Unknown 00:06, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, additional security is a plus. Cyberpower678, while the hosting company will have technical access to the codebase, will you be directly and solely responsible for any edits made? — xaosflux Talk 00:12, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The beauty of this separate account is that if someone does hijack it and make the bot rampage, it can be immediately blocked without affecting the other Cyberbot tasks. While I do assume responsibility of the edits and will undo any rogue edit in the unlikely event something like that does happen, I cannot read other people's minds, which is why this separate account exists.—cyberpowerMerry Christmas:Unknown 00:52, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
