Intended purpose of this essay

This essay is intended to describe current AfD practice with respect to mergers, without subjective judgment of how well or poorly it functions. Objective measures, such as merge closures regularly being challenged and overturned on strictly procedural grounds, would be relevant. Flatscan (talk) 03:59, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
