This page in a nutshell: Don't treat Wikipedia articles as a forum for post-modernist expression. |
Wikipedia is not a forum for post-modern performance art pieces. While it is in the nature of all collaborative endeavours to sometimes resemble avant-garde collective art, the article space is reserved for expressions of a simple factual nature, rather than for pure artistic expression. The appropriateness of any artistic content is determined based on its serving the factual, encyclopedic purposes of Wikipedia, not on its aesthetic appeal or artistic integrity. At the risk of putting beans up my nose, examples like removing all citations from Argument from authority, or blanking the nihilism article, constitute simple WP:VANDALISM, no matter the intentions of the editor.
