Some editors call Wikipedia as dreadful place (w:ru:Википедия:Страшное место[1]). We should declare, that it is not complete definition.
Wikipedia was not created at all in order to be a “dreadful place”!
Wikipedia is a worthy continuation of the work of enthusiasts-ascetics, such as Sir Berners-Lee (thanks to his disinterestedness[2] we now have the Internet), a wunderkind and an amazing person Aaron Swartz, whom our rude world did not appreciate and literally killed, finally, Jimbo Wales, who refused the material welfare expected in his position for the sake of the project, where you are now.
Wikipedia is a unique phenomenon, based on very thoughtful basic rules, a developing, significant, successfully influencing many important processes of the real world, uniting a huge number of people around the globe.
Wikipedia was conceived - and should be! - as interesting, pleasant, beautiful, amazing, fantastic, unusual place where all the basic knowledge of mankind is collected, where you can find beautiful, amazing images and other files, where people from all over the world communicate and where they will most likely help you, and absolutely disinterestedly.
