Three featured articles were promoted this week.
- Panggilan Darah (nominated by Crisco 1492) is a 1941 film from the Dutch East Indies, written and directed by Sutan Usman Karim and produced by Tjho Seng Han for Oriental Film. The black-and-white film starred Dhalia and Soerip as orphaned sisters trying to make a living in the colonial capital of Batavia before moving to Kudus to work at a clove cigarette factory. Despite being a modest commercial success in the Indies and Singapore, the film was screened as late as 1952. The film is believed to be lost.
- Seiken Densetsu 3 (nominated by PresN) is a 1995 action role-playing game developed and published by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the sequel to the 1993 game Seiken Densetsu 2, and is the third installment in the Mana series. Set in a high fantasy world, the game follows three heroes as they attempt to claim the legendary Mana Sword and prevent the God Beasts from being unleashed and destroying the world. It received considerable acclaim from reviewers, who praised the graphics as among the best ever made for the Super Nintendo and the gameplay as an improved version of its predecessor's.
- Albert Ketèlbey (nominated by SchroCat and Tim riley) (1875–1959) was an English composer, conductor, and pianist, best known for his short pieces of light orchestral music. The composer's early works in conventional classical style were well received, but it was for his light orchestral pieces that he became best known. One of his earliest works in the genre, In a Monastery Garden, sold over a million copies and brought him to widespread notice; his later musical depictions of exotic scenes caught the public imagination and established his fortune.
