Equipment

□ Macro lens
□ Wide-angle lens
□ Low-aperture lens under 100mm
□ Sharpie or pen; pencil if museum rules disallow the former
□ Index Cards
□ White card/plastic to set white balance

Camera settings

  • Flash off if museum rules state so
  • Program mode - Aperture Priority

ISO

[edit]
  • Normal lighting = 200 ISO
  • Darker lighting = 400 ISO
  • Very dark = 800 to 1600 ISO only if necessary

Aperture

  • Lowest possible while keeping entire subject in focus and avoiding blur

Shutter speed

[edit]
  • Not necessary to set in Program mode
  • 2 steps above the lowest possible with no blur

White Balance

  • White balance set manually using card
