Latest Club Updates
[edit]- We've concluded our Wikipedia Takes Columbus event! In total, we had 7 participants upload 135 photos to the Wikimedia Commons - thanks to everyone who helped illustrate our great city!
- The winner of our raffle (held amongst those who contributed at least 15 files) is David Peterson! He's the proud new owner of a Wikipedia scarf.
- Our Board of Trustees have selected their favorite photos, chosen for quality, uniqueness, and creativity. Congrats to Maria Rimmel for capturing the best photo and taking home a Wikipedia water bottle! The two runner-ups are Kevin Payravi and Nora Myer, who will each take home a Wikipedia notebook.
- Summer is finally here! While we don't have any exact dates yet, we will be hosting some activities throughout the summer. Feel free to join us if you're around the Columbus area, or participating remotely when you can! Here's a rough list of some events we have in mind, with more details to come in the coming weeks:
- Periodic workshops
- A Wiknic for all Wikimedians in Ohio
- Wiki Loves Earth, a global photography event and competition
