Course description: SPAN 4342. TRANSLATION IN HEALTHCARE SETTINGS. 3 Hours. An advanced course in translation with a focus on healthcare translation. Particular attention will be paid to healthcare terminology in English and Spanish, text types, and cultural elements. Students deepen their knowledge of translation theory and are trained to build and consolidate their skills in specialized translation.
