This course will be an introduction to Iranian Cinema after the Islamic Revolution. We will cover a selection of the most important Persian-language Iranian films from this period. Students will be required to improve (or create, if necessary) relevant wikipedia entries for each film. This will occur in a two-step process. First, students will be assigned groups for each film and each group will be assigned a specific reading on the film and they will be responsible for adding relevant details from this article to the wikipedia page. In the second phase (and as a part of their final project), each student will select a specific film and they will be responsible for stylistically editing and providing a more coherent flow to one of the wikipedia articles that the students collectively worked on in the first stage.
