This course is a senior seminar that will focus on the processes of settler colonialism even when it does not travel by that name. Throughout the quarter, we will consider different sites of colonial settlement for example, in the contiguous United States, Hawai’i, Canada and Australia. We will consider the canon of settler colonial studies and detail the definitions of settler colonialism. The aim of this course is for seniors to engage in their original research finalized in the form of a strong final paper. This Wikipedia exercise is meant to challenge students to write and cite for a global audience.
