This is a first year undergraduate writing seminar where students will be introduced to scholarly communication and research practices, and cultivate information literacy. The course draws upon the sociology of gender while centering transgender and non-binary experiences. Students will read empirical research on gender and society, LGBT history, gender theory excerpts, and be exposed to primary source materials at our College archive and in Los Angeles (ONE Archives).
