Course Description:
The 2020-2021 Keene State College Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog describes this four credit-course as “an introduction to the systematic study of etiology, signs, and treatment of psychopathology with an emphasis on prevention, and the social and cultural forces that influence views of abnormality.”
Course Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will gain an understanding of the empirical (research-based) and applied (clinical practice-based) information about the major types of child, adolescent, and adult psychopathology.

The Wikipedia assignment:
Students will choose a psychological disorder, research it according to the neuropsychosocial bases of their chosen disorder, and then contribute their knowledge to an existing (C or S rated) Wikipedia article. The assignment will require that students work in groups and incorporate 6 secondary sources in their contribution to Wikipedia.
