For this project, you will update a section or sections of a Wikipedia article on an assigned subject (I will provide with you a list of subjects for you to select). Through this Wikipedia Project, you will get to know how to edit a Wikipedia article and learn about the informative genre. When you engage in this Wikipedia Project, you will consider the Wiki community and its genre, thus being more aware of your readers and your rhetorical moves. This Wikipedia Project will require you to take the following steps:
• Enroll in the online Wikipedia Course – English 101-036.
• Use the Wikipedia Dashboard to read and to take required training and exercises according to the set timeline.
• Choose a Wikipedia article.
• Find, evaluate, and document one reliable source for editing a section or sections of your selected Wikipedia article.
• Edit a section or sections of your Wikipedia article. Each student will contribute at least 150-250 words to the Wikipedia article.
• Peer review each other’s Wikipedia editing.
• Write a journal to reflect on this Wikipedia Project (I will provide you with the prompts).
