This course will cover the contributions of African-American artists to the graphic arts - understood, within the context of our studies, as including illustrating, cartooning, and printmaking - from the late 19th through the late 20th centuries. Wikipedia involvement will include editing and adding new content to existing pages, as well as in certain instances creating new pages.
