The course is a survey of American Cinema. The Wikipedia assignment will ask students to add to or create entries for the American films in our institution's library collection. I will be working with an upper-level student "writing colleague" for the class who will assist the students in developing writing, research and revision skills. I'm very interested in demonstrating the library's resources to the students, and feel that a material and public application of the resources would illuminate the value of both the library and their own ability to process and share its resources beyond our institution.
