This course covers the structure of the human body, including different anatomical regions, systems, structures, organs, and tissues. It is an advanced (3000-level) lecture/lab course that provides undergraduate students (primarily in Biology and Health Science, but also including Environmental Science, Nutrition, and Physical Education majors) with a solid background in anatomy in preparation for advanced work at the graduate or professional school level. In terms of the Wikipedia assignment, students will identify and improve one of the many "C"-, "Start"-, or "Stub"-quality Human Anatomy articles rated by WikiProject Anatomy (currently, this includes 4,817 articles). The overarching goal of this activity is to start a "feedback loop" where students help to improve the Human Anatomy articles that future cohorts of teachers and students will use to teach and learn the subject.
