Composition II emphasizes effective and ethical rhetorical inquiry, including primary and secondary research methods; critical reading of verbal, visual, and multimedia texts; systematic evaluation, synthesis, and documentation of information sources; and critical thinking about evidence and conclusions through structural analysis of the rhetoric of short stories and the seven elements of fiction. Students will be evaluating sources, creating, and adding to Wikipedia articles on writers, stories, and works covered in this class.
