On the 1st February 2017 and ending on the day before International Women's Day, the Wiki Loves Women project challenges Wikipedians to expand the reach of Africa's notable women beyond English and French Wikipedia
This contest celebrates the work that the Wiki Loves Women have done in Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria. Wiki Loves Women is a a content liberation project related to Women in Africa in 4 countries.

What? This is a public translating challenge which will improve improve and translate this list of 16 really important biographies about African Women into as many languages as possible. The contest encourages the translation in ANY languages. We would love to see them in particular in
International languages: Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandrin, German
In the sake of fairness, it is important not to start working on an article in a subpage or offline before the start of the challenge. Please respect the spirit of the challenge and only start working on the article from the 1st onwards.
When? The writing challenge will run from 1st of February 2017 until 7 March 2017 midnight UTC. On the 8th of March, we all celebrate International Women's Day.
How? The winner will receive the Wiki Loves Women gold barnstar. The runner ups will receive silver and every user who contributes an article will receive a bronze award. The contest is simple in structure, based on a KISS point system: You get Points while translating articles, with the goal for each participant to gain as many points as possible. Who? Everybody can help in any language to collaborate on translating biographies of African women. Any Wikipedian with a named account (on any wiki) can participate. To participate you just need to sign up on the Participants section.
