This article is very close to GA status, and I would like to know what to do to it. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:22, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Crimsonfox's Comments
- There's a few wiki links point to DAB pages. Battle Frontier, Blaine and then Blue and Red from the "Printed adaptations" 2nd paragraph
- Descriptive alt text for the image
- Ref 1 doesn't point to the correct article, article possibly been removed?
- From what I know, the lead should not have any references of it's own as the lead is a summary of the article, so the info should be referenced elsewhere
- Also the lead needs expansion, it's meant to cover each heading in summary, I don't think it does that for the cultural impact section
- The first mention of Charmander and Charmeleon should be wiki linked or explained as before there is no indication as to what these things are
- The last sentence of the "In Anime" section references a couple of specific Pokemon attacks, someone who is not familiar with the series won't know what these are, explain these, or simplify the sentence, the latter of which I recommend
- There's also a lot of Pokemon without wiki links that could have them.
Hope that helps. Good luck getting to GA. CrimsonFox talk 17:14, 26 January 2010 (UTC) }}
- Thanks! These are some very good points that I will definitely be able to fix. Blake (Talk·Edits) 17:51, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I fixed everything, except for the alt text (because the Pokedex listing is the "subtitle", unless you mean when you scroll on top of it.), and I am not sure what Pokemon you are referring to that need links. If you mean "Saur", "Blasty", etc those are nicknames of Venusaur and Blastoise. If this is confusing, I can change them or add text to explain it, since the Pokemon are linked already in that section. Thanks Blake (Talk·Edits) 18:37, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Whoops, my bad, you're right on the Pokemon names, I didn't see an Articuno earlier in the article. =) And by alt text I mean this [[Image:006charizard.png|220px|alt=DescriptibeAltTextHere]], if you need more informaton go here

- Oh, ok. Is something along the lines of "Art of Charizard made for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen by Ken Sugimori." fine? Charizard's appearance is described in the Concept and characteristics section, so it would be silly for them to have to read/listen to that twice. Blake (Talk·Edits) 20:51, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, I think that would be okay buy I would describe his pose and expression though. CrimsonFox talk 21:22, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Per WP:ALT that would not be okay; it reads more like a caption and it is not a description of the image. The concept and characteristics section describes the Pokemon. Alt text describes the image for the visually impaired. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 21:43, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, feel free to write something up. I wouldn't know what to write. Blake (Talk·Edits) 21:46, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Also, there appears to be an error in the references. These are two instances where volume three (Saffron City Siege) chapter 31 of Pokemon Adventures is used. However, one of these chapter 31s is titled "The Art of Articuno" (pages 47-61) and the other chapter 31 is titled "A Charizard... and a Champion" (page 118). Which one is the correct one? The incorrect one needs to be fixed too. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 21:50, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for making an alt text. Looks good. "A Charizard... and a Champion" is Chapter 40. I have fixed it. Blake (Talk·Edits) 22:03, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Awesome stuff. Another thing to consider is splitting the printed material into a Notes/References subsection, much like the manner employed in "City of Blinding Lights." Though that's not mandatory, I think that it would make it look a little bit better. MelicansMatkin (talk, contributions) 22:06, 26 January 2010 (UTC)

- ← One more comment before you do, the dates in the references aren't consistent, some are written in full, others in short. This should be constant. There is quite a few redundant "also"s floating about, for example "Charizard has also saved Ash's life on more than one occasion". CrimsonFox talk 00:56, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. That's odd. I checked for weasel words and extra fluff words like "also". Someone probably threw that in there when I wasn't looking. Blake (Talk·Edits) 03:06, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently not. I looked at the revision where I did that, and I didn't really do much. Blake (Talk·Edits) 03:34, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
