Wikipedia:WikiProject User warnings/Testing/Articles for creation
Appearance
This page is for documenting potential tests of the user notifications given through Articles for creation.
Templates
[edit]We may potentially test a third new option, see our draft space
- {{Afc talk-rand}}, including...
- {{Afc talk-default}}
- {{Afc talk-new}}
- {{Afc onhold-rand}}, including...
- {{Afc onhold-default}}
- {{Afc onhold-new}}
- {{Afc decline-rand}}, including...
- {{Afc decline-default}}
- {{Afc decline-new}}
Testing strategy
[edit]Possibly options...
- By hand delivery. This works fine but is slow.
- {{AFC submission}}, which includes links that preload the relevant templates
- User:Timotheus Canens/afchelper4.js, which may not actually deliver templates...? Testing required.
Analysis
[edit]The following is a description of the variables we'll want to measure after the test is completed. Please add to it or comment!
- Qualitative improvement
- How many authors edit their submissions after receiving a message?
- How many authors are editing drafts and resubmitting them after being declined?
- How many authors are editing actual articles after being accepted? (see: WP:SPA)
- How many message recipients' articles are accepted and moved to mainspace?
- What kind of feedback are message recipients giving the AfC process?
- Retention
- Are those who receive any of the notifications editing...
- 0-3 days after?
- 30 days after?
- 60 days after?
- ... and in what namespaces?
- Do message recipients create any more AfC drafts or articles?
- Are any message recipients blocked (after at any point or any duration)?
