Comments There are a lot of nit-pick grammar errors in this article, some I've noticed include:
- "Modern-NY 308" what's the dash for?
- "Beekman Arms Inn, a notable featured that NY 308 passes" -feature.
- I was told to turn off links for common units in prose (ft, m, etc.) my lone time through FAC. At a minimum, only the first instance should be linked, ft and m are linked multiple times.
- Overlinking: De link U.S. in route description. If somebody hasn't figured out what the U.S. means by this point in the article, there's trouble afoot =-)
- Underlinking =-): The second instance of Ulster and Delaware Turnpike is wikilinked, but not the first.
Sourcing issues:
- Source 8 (waterfronts.org) as currently attributed this sounds like a self published source. Try to find out who publishes waterfronts.org, as this will raise eyebrows at FAC.
- Several book citations are missing an ISBN or OCLC code. Try to find one or the other, as this will cause grief at FAC.
- Source 6 (Marist) is missing publisher information.
Friendly suggestions:
- Salisbury Turnpike. Though most in the USRD community disagree with me, I don't like bolded terms outside of the lead. If I understand the article correctly this is a colloquial name for part of the Ulster and Delware Turnpike, which is mentioned in the lead. I'd work an "or Salsbury Turnpike" in the lead and have the bolded instance be there. As I know I'm in the minority, I won't vote oppose if you tell me to buzz off.
All in all, it's impressive you could write an article that long on a 6 mile long route. Congrats.Dave (talk) 18:27, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the comments, I think I got everything. Unfortunately, I'm going to be away for a few weeks, so I'm afraid I won't be able to work on this for a while. And yes, I think I squeezed every last bit of information out of the route. :-) Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 00:45, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Support FWIW my concerns resolved. But as you have this at FAC, I doubt it matters. I still think nywaterfronts.org needs publisher information, but if it passed the reviewers at FAC so be it. Dave (talk) 03:52, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
