This article doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, so Storm05 expanded it, and I cleaned it up. Currently Start-class. --Coredesat 00:23, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I upped it to B class. Anything higher would require inline sources and more info, if any. Hurricanehink (talk) 00:26, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, although it would be nice to convert the citations to Cite.php format, if not to {{cite web}}. Titoxd(?!? - help us) 00:27, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll work on it. --Coredesat 00:38, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've expanded the impact section (the article previously ignored some rather extensive damage on Long Island) and converted all the citations, and replaced most of the references with official NHC/NWS sources. A few redundant links have also been removed. --Coredesat 01:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You should put it up for GA class. Hurricanehink (talk) 02:53, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. --Coredesat 03:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's a GA now. What would it take to make this article A-class, if at all possible? --Coredesat 05:01, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. A class is generally reserved for articles that could pass as an FAC. While it could, I would like to see some impact pictures and overall info before upping it to an A. Personally, I don't think this should be an A class, because it shouldn't be an FA. I'll admit, I'm on the boat that FA's should be reserved for articles which have significant amounts of information, preferably over 15 kb. Yes, I am aware that this condradicts with existing FA's. Hurricanehink (talk) 14:25, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Forget that. Here's a few things that can be done for A class; preparations section, aftermath section, more intro, cite web formatting, more impact if possible. I personally love loads of impact; the more the better in my book. Hurricanehink (talk) 02:24, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
At the very least, the intro should be expanded. That's a very short intro. íslenska hurikein #12(samtal) 14:34, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've expanded the intro paragraph and added a couple of sentences about Stormfury, since the intro is essentially a summary of the rest of the article. I also added some areas to the "areas affected" section, as some key areas (e.g., Long Island) were left out. I'll switch the references to cite web formatting later today. I'll also see what I can do about preparations (there's plenty of info about that in the report), but I'm not sure how much more impact can be added. I'll see what I can find in the reports. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 08:41, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. With a few more edits, you should PR it, this is getting good. --Hurricanehink (talk) 12:47, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't find much more impact, so I went ahead and split off the preparations section and converted all the citations to cite web. It's up for PR now. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 03:00, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've pretty much done everything I can with the information I can find. Is this at least A-class yet? --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 00:25, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Here goes nothing. Putting this up on FAC. I've also upgraded it to A-class. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 00:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yay! It's featured. --Coredesat talk. o.o;; 04:38, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
